TRAFFIC STOPS RESULT IN ARRESTS AND DRUG SEIZURES

As the result of two separate traffic stops on LA Hwy 6, Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Departmment deputies recently arrested three men and seized large quantities of drugs that they allegedly had in their possession with the intent to distribute. On 2-25-15, Jerry L. Pittman II, 36, of Winnfield, and Cory C. Pennywell, 38, of Hemphill, Texas, were each arrested after they were stopped on Hwy. 6 for a traffic offense and deputies found them in possession of suspected methamphetamines, marijuana, synthetic marijuana, and Xanax.  Both men were booked into the Sabine Parish Detention Center for possession with intent to distribute Schedule II (methamphetamines) and possession with intent to distribute Schedule I (synthetic marijuana).  In addition, Pittman was booked for possession ofSchedule I (marijuana) and improper lane usage and Pennywell was booked for possession with intent to distribute Schedule IV (Xanax).  Each man has a $20,000 bond.  There was approximately 254 grams of methamphetamines, 50 grams of synthetic marijuana, 84 pills of Xanax, and a small quantity of marijuana seized in the traffic stop.

On 3-2-15, Alfred J. Jackson, 40, of Natchitoches, was arrested after he was stopped for atraffic offense and was found in possession of suspected marijuana, methamphetamines, and cocaine.  He was booked into the Sabine Parish Detention Center for possession with intent to distribute Schedule I (marijuana), possession with intent to distribute Schedule II (cocaine), possession with intent to distribute Schedule II (methamphetamines), and speeding (68/55). He has no bond at this time.  There was approximately 199.4 lbs. of marijuana, 7.2 lbs. of methamphetamines, and 4.6 lbs. of cocaine seized in the traffic stop.
