Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 7, Section 23(C) of the Louisiana Constitution and R.S. 47:1705(B) that a public hearing of the Sabine Parish Law Enforcement District will be held at the office of the Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Department, located at 400 S. Capitol St., Room 105, Many, LA, on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at 10:00 AM to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rates after reassessment and rolling forward to rates not to exceed the prior year’s maximum. The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected in the next year from the increased millage is $2,601,500 and the estimated amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $236,500.

The budgeted total revenues for the Sabine Parish Law Enforcement District for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017 are $6,368,000. Budgeted expenditures total $6,336,000.
